LL Bean Moc Toe Boot discontinued...

In my quest for Aldens, I decided to get a reliable Indy style boot for a lot cheaper, and thus decided on the Bean boot. (I think they look REALLY similar).

Anyhoo...I went to LL Bean's website to order, and the boot was no longer there. I called up customer service, ordered a pair out of those left, and the operator said, that will be $74.95..

So, I'm just letting everyone know that if you want a pair, they may no longer make them (that is what they said last time), and they are about 35 bucks cheaper. One cool thing...they can be resoled like Aldens can

Do you have a pic of these off of the internet? Is this the Chippewa boot?

Be wary. I ordered a pair of these and wore them around the house for a few days after I got them. They were the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. I sent mine back and ordered the Eddie Bauer Alden alternative.

Really? I have had them on for a few hours, and they seem fine...like most other boots I have worn. Maybe it is because I wear boots a lot. My only real concern is that the upper part of the boot feels very stiff.

I hope I can break them in

I wear boots a lot too. These boots mainly hit me too low in the heel.

Ah, I see...so far I haven't noticed that though on me. I have to REALLY break in shoes to get comfortable anyway...thanks for the input.
