Showing off my Aldens

I think at this point it's very safe to say the Gear Bug has bitten me hard.
I was looking at boots for my Indy costume, and while the Aldens were definitely the way to go, the different colour in the latest rendition but more importantly the flat sole with no grip or tread made me nervous. I'm not a graceful man at the best of times, and I just knew that if I wore those shoes I'd eventually land on my behind in a painful fashion after skidding on a wet piece of tile or concrete.
So after a bit of research, I went with the AF64 from Alden of Carmel. The guy I spoke to, Adam Knott, was very helpful with making sure I got the right sized boots sent out to me, and they got here in just over half a week:

They're comfortable and fit well. And despite the price, I'm not regretting this purchase.
Well that's my head and feet covered. Hopefully Wested will get to me soon!
Be seeing you,
