Throughout all the latest talk of BOIC, I had always assumed that I owned a pair, as mine are dead-on in the Indy look department. Well, lo and behold, I looked at the frames the other day and discovered a different name.
A little history... I ordered these through a contact given to me be Lee Keppler back in (probably) '91. And have been a good sturdy pair of specs. I don't wear them often as the perscription isn' that strong.
I'm not sure the store name, I'll have to dig through my old papers, but it was on the West Coast.
Well, enough of the chit-chat, here's what's inscripted on my specs: ALGHA 12KT GF Frame made in England. The case reads "The Savile Row Collection".
My question is two-fold, was this a predecessor to the latest BOIC specs? Or could this possibly be an alternative version that hasn't yet been publicized? I'll leave it to the more learned amoung us to discuss.

BOIC predecessor or possible alternative?...

I was told that the "Savile Row" line was actually Berkshire Chase. However, fortunately I was also told that the Indy frames that BOIC distributed (Beaufort P3) and the corresponding Berkshire Chase model (Panto 14K or Savile Row) and many of both companies' frames are actually manufactured by the same place in England. So either company's model in the chestnut color and 1/2 covered temple should be accurate to the Indy glasses. I am still waiting to see how close the BC Panto 14K with the 1/2 covered temples actually is though...
