I thought now would be the time...

As someone mentioned, Indy 4 is actually bringing back old gearheads like me that never completed their collections.

At the moment i own The three main pieces :

The Jacket i bought back in 2002 from Peter Botwright, i was 17 at the time...

The Whip, in 2004, from Robert Duke (very nice fella btw)

And finally, the HJ Fedora, in 2005 (my then girlfriend called me when on a trip to london with her mother and asked for my head measurement. I immediatly understood where she was, and thought how sweet of her it was to do that :D )

So now that i'm 23 i thought that it was time to achieve total screen accuracy.

Yesterday, i logged in and went for info on CoW, although i had my idea regarding some elements.

It was a big online shopping day, as i ordered a brand new pair of Alden, a shirt and pair of trousers from Wested, and Mark VII and dark strap from fellow Indymagnoli :D

Now i need your help as i'm wondering from who should i buy the gunbelt with whipholder attached, and Rola Holster ...

I checked Lee Keppler site, but am not sure if the site is still active and the prices up to date. Noel Howard seem to be hard to reach and is a bit expensive, so the last possibility i see is lostark.net, but i don't like their holster that much.

Anyone can give me a hint ?

Todd's costumes. He'll make you a budget holster for about $30.00, and his gunbelt costs the same price.

I'd avoid the attached whip holder as, by all accounts, it doesn't hold the whip very well, and you can barely tell the difference between an attached and non-attached whip holder.

Todd only sells adjustable whip holders not the attached ones. That's Lee Keppler. I'm sure you know this, I just want to relay this info to Indiana Ace.

I have the same items you ordered and I can attest to their quality. The leathers can be stiff, so they need some work. Especially the gunbelt needs to get a good dose of Pecards to prevent cracks in the leather.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I too just ordered my Aldens and a couple of spare trousers from Wested. The only things I need to complete my look now are a whip and a Webley.

Cheers

After a year and a half of being very busy and not thinking that much about my beloved archeologist, last week-end was the one opportunity to wear again my full gear, and to combine two of my movie passions ;)

Enjoy !

That's awesome! Great pics. Are you planning on converting it or are you keeping it the classic car it is anyway?

Cool! You may want to repost these pics in a new Scrapbook thread, Ace, as they make more sense there than in a General Gear thread. ;)
