Todd's deluxe holster

Post by Risu »

I ordered Todd's deluxe holster a while back and I've played around with it a bit to distress it, but I can't seem to get any of the stiffness out of it. From all the screenshots and other versions of the holster I've seen, it shouldn't be very stiff at all. Does anybody have any suggestions to soften it up?

Pecards leather jell (advertised as cream) is made specificially for loosening up leather.

I have the same holster as you. All I can say is, really abuse it. I mean bend it, roll it up to a point you think it's gonna snap in two. Just keep flexing it in your hands a lot as well.
But I have to say that it will still not be as floppy as you see on screen. I think that has to do with the different properties of the leathers.
I'll post a few pics of my deluxe holster when daylight returns to the nether region

OK, so I got some pics. Mind you that this is the deluxe holster before Todd introduced his new line.
The color in real life is closest to the first pic, just a tad darker.

I've started to soften my holster up a bit, but it has a long way to go before sitting down in my gear will be an easy task. I used some regular pecard's because I don't have any of the cream and that helped, but now all the distressing I did to it before is gone. Haha.
