I'm seriously looking at getting one of these very soon. I've seen a couple pics of them and the details look really good, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what the color is like. I have Wested's in dark brown lamb and predistressed cow, and a Wings in brown goatskin. Does the Todd's jacket compare to any of these, if not, what does it compare too, or is it unique unto itself?

I just can tell you that it is in a much lighter brown than any dark brown lamb. I think it is unique, the brown looks really like the original Raiders jacket

The color is a darker brown that the Authentic Lamb from Wested. I think its not quite as 'chocolatey' to me. I love the color. To me, it looks very, very screen accurate right outta the box, and with a bit of wear it distresses nicely because the leather is very light.

I apologize for that being sideways....guess I was laying down when I posted it to Photobucket?

It's darker than Wested's authentic brown? Has anyone got a pic of these two side by side for a comparison?

I don't have a Wested nearby to compare. Not yet, anyway.

But make sure you remember this: if you get a Todd's standard, order a size larger than you normally wear. They run small.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think the dark brown looks better. If you were to distress it, that could lighten the jacket significantly. The Todd's jacket might be too light if you were to do that.

wow that is a huge color difference, if you treated the todds, would it get much darker?

I ordered a Todd's Standard in a Meddium size. I loved it, but it was a bit too snug, so I ordered a Large. It is TERRIFIC. My next jacket will be a Todd's Custom, because I love the Standard so much.

In real life I think the color is between the two shades. The lighting can make the color vary in a photo of course.

Indiana Max's looked alot darker than some of the other pics I've seen, so I'm sure the lighting has alot to do with it. Even my dark brown Wested varies tremendously in the light. It's looking better and better to me, thanks to everyone for their input. Now I just need to decide if off the rack sizing is for me.

I'm very tempted by one of these. Two things put me off, though. The unpredictability of early jackets concerning where the collar meets the storm flap and ... the label. That whiteness just looks wrong inside a leather jacket - Wested's is much cooler.

I don't think you should let a thing like the white colour of the label be the determining factor in choosing a jacket unless you intend to leave it on a hanger for life. You can't even see the label when you are wearing it, so it seems silly to me you'd even worry about that.

I bought a Todd's standard medium and I have to say this jacket is probably the best jacket I've ever had. The fit is amazing considering it is an off the rack type of jacket. I have never gotten so many compliments for a jacket ever. The more I wear it the more I love it.

i agree. The products todd produces are amazing for their cost, and we are all lucky to have someone like him whose not trying to screw us, and make things as afordable as possible. This jacket will not disappoint you at all, unless its a little small like mine was, which is why i just order the XXL. If you buy a jacket, id get the next size up you think ud wear. And i agree the color of the label isnt the best reason to determine a jacket for yourself, and i think the label looks really cool with the clover leaf, its like the lighter, so thats why its white. Great jacket, barely notice its on.

I see a perfect fit in a large, and a perfect fit in a medium. Which of you guys comes closest to being 6' tall and athletically built. Most of the time when I order of the rack it ends up being tight across the shoulders, short in the arms, and baggy at the waist. I'm liking the color more and more, thanks for posting the pics guys!

Todd is offering a great service, but I have yet to find an Indygear vendor that is trying to "screw" the fan. Cheers

I'm 6ft, 180 lbs., and built pretty solid. I ordered a Todd's Standard in a medium, and it was too small. The large fits me perfectly.

I'm kidding a little bit here. I do think the label needs a rethink - as well as the white, there're too many colours going on there, but it wouldn't stop me from getting this jacket. The unpredictable collar and storm flap configuration might, however.

Well, ok maybe the colors aren't the greatest, but I still like the four leaf clover. It is sort of old-fashioned looking "retro", if you want a "clean" and uncluttered designer label from a Paris runway this is not it.

By the way the color on the jacket in the label pic is an accurate representation of the leather's true color.

Well, I'm 5'10" and a slim build if that helps at all.

And Satipo, the colour of the jacket in the pic with the label that Bigrex posted is a much closer representation of how it looks in person. I can understand about the collar/ storm flap issue if that is something that is important to you, even on my jacket it's a little off, but that wasn't a major concern for me. I like the label, it's lucky.

I like the label. It looks very much like a logo from the early 1900's.
