Yes. There are egg heads, and there are block heads. sadly, I am a block head, the sides of my head are straight up and down for 2 inches above my ears.

I've had this post on my mind for years, and I went ahead with it without some double checking first. I just looked at Ford with wet hair in Bladerunner, and his head is actually a little LIKE Bruce Willis'. That is, bulges just above his ears, then a lot of slope above the bulges. But still the same point. Room for cave in at the top of the ribbon, resulting in less taper in the sides. But the bulges above his ears would widen the hat opening, pulling in the front and back for revese taper front and back. My point is, The Raiders block didn't have to be so stovepipe, it could have been something typical, Ford's head allowing the sides to cave in, making the block look more taper-free than it was? This is probably what my head looks like, bald- straight up and down tall sides.
I can't get the SOC sides cave-in.
