my first propper selfmade Bullwhip

Post by eaglecrow »

I made this whip for a gentleman who needed a very short whip for a western stage theatre. I took this chance to finally make a propper bullwhip.
Since Pagey allready became a good whipmaker since the time when we started together he gave me some extremly precious tips and instructions, I was able to make a whip which I'm absolutly satisfyed with (at least for whip No.8  )

So here it is:

next one will follow soon and will be an Indy bullwhip!

Many thanks to pagey for helping me a lot with your knowledge! :D

Hi,

It's good looking whip :) And for the 8'th bull it's very good looking whip ;)

Keep going like that.

Karol

Very nice work BreinederIndy,

It looks like a very solid, well made bullwhip. The seam work look very straight, the sets are cut neatly with a very consistent width, and it has a good taper. The fall could be a bit longer but the knots turned out really well. You keep that up and your going to give Whiskyman a run for his money  :) Good job.

Thank you for your kind comments, it's allways good to get some feedback (both positiv and negative of course) from you.
Yes, I braided them quit tight ynd I think it will stand many years. The only thing which bothers me is that it came out a little thinn.
The next one will have a thicker thong and probably a thicker handle aswell

and of course, the Indy look :D
