Can anyone tell me the difference between the “pre distressed hide” from the of the standard raiders and the “ dark brown pre distressed cowhide” from the custom made jackets? Since I would like to order a standard raiders with the novapelle hide.
Thanks! :?

If the predistressed lamb is anything like the worn-look lamb Wested offered a while ago, then it should be so soft, that it almost feels like you're wearing a cloth windbreaker.

The novapelle, on the other hand, is light for a cowhide, but feels much more substantial than the predistressed lamb. It actually has that leather jacket feel, almost heavier than the level of an authentic lamb.

The pre-distressing on the lamb is much more pronounced on the novapelle, and once you apply a coat of standard Pecards on the novapelle, it pretty much disguises the pre-distressing and darkens the jacket to an almost-black shade. Since Pecards cream (which is the recommended dressing for lamb) doesn't really change the appearance of the predistressed lamb at all, the color is pretty much fixed.

I would think that novapelle would be much sturdier and more durable than the predistressed lamb also, by the way. Hope this helps.
