Making your own hat

I know a handful of people have tried making their own fedoras. Being such a "do-it-yourself" guy, I thought I'd give it a shot too. I've already got a block, flange, iron, but I haven't got any actual hat materials (save needles and thread). I was looking at the catalog on hatsupply.com and I think I've found everything I need that I don't have:

Felt body (capeline)
Ribbon
Liner
Sweatband
Ferrule?
Stiffener

Other than my moderately-successful reblock of my Miller hat, this is completely new territory for me, and any advice would be appreciated.
