Help with A LC order

Greetings fellow nerds,

I received a US Wings vintage cow on Friday and I have decided to return it because the fit is not right at all. I think US Wings is geared towards a more rotund consumer. Too big in the body and too long all around so I am going for another custom Wested but LC style this time. I need some advice on specs. I know there has been some changes in the collar (old style vs new style?)but what about other details like pockets, side straps, facings etc?

You guys helped me get a great ROTLA authentic Lamb so I am counting on you once again! I am thinking about distressed cow but will wait until Gemma gets the leather samples to me.

Thanking you in advance,

-Nebraska

For me the most obvious problem with Wested LC jackets is that the pockets are totally wrong. Look at the movie again - you'll see pockets with a very large flap almost taking up half of the entire pocket size. The other differences are minor.

Cheers

If you want, you could always use the specs that I came up with for my order...

I tried to replicate the KotCS jacket over the course of a couple of jackets, and to me, this is screen-accurate enough to satisfy my OCD! ;) Since the KotCS jacket is essentially a LC jacket replica, I suppose you could call my KotCS jacket specs a LC jacket spec as well! :)

Hey, watch that, NB. My Wings VIP fits me just fine! :?

Ahem....what I meant to say was that the US Wings jacket is for a huskier more statuesque and muscular build.

Michaelson,
I actually ordered it after reading your high praise for the VIP. It just doesn't suit my "unique body style" (42" chest, 32 waist). I still thought about keeping it because it still looks cool and is a well made garment.

Well, if you had gone for the 32 chest and 42 waist, you'd be whistling a different tune, I assure you! [-(

Nice jacket, but the pockets don't look LC. Remember the width of that flap is almost half the pcoket size.

Hmm, personally speaking, I think it looks fairly close to the pockets in this picture:

Can't see the pocket in that photo properly, so I can't agree with you. But, as long as you are happy - who cares what I think.

Cheers.
