.25 Scale Indy whip

After seeing Joe Strain's beautiful Miniature Indy whip, I couldn't get it out of my head. And before I left for vacation, I decided to make one myself. The more I thought about it, the more carried away I got, and ended up making it exactly the same as the full size Indy whips. Down to the little details. I made it a double plaited belly, and it is pretty accurate to a .25 scale. It turned out great! And it cracks really well to boot! I finished up the knots on the cruise ship, and was cutting straw wrappers with it by the pool.

Here it is, what do you think?

Here is a shot of it with a full sized 6 foot Indy:

Here are a couple of shots that you may find interesting of the bellies and overlay being braided:

I hope you enjoy the pics, I had fun making it!

Thanks guys I really like this whip a lot! I keep toying with the idea of selling it, but then I go crack it, and I change my mind.

Ahhh, the mental anguish endured... such is being a whipmaker, ;-)

If you are going t sell it, sell it to me. If you don't sell it to me, keep it. One other thing, I think the wrist loop is a looks bit small.

Thanks BWB and ST,

Due to how much time and work was involved with the double plaited belly and getting it to scale I think I would have to sell it for $150 bucks or so. So, I'm not sure that I could sell it.

Also, I agree the wrist loop is a little too small. I thought I had the length worked out right, but I was also trying to finish packing and get some other things done before I left on the trip.

Not to worry ST, if I decide to sell it, you will be the first to know,
