WPG bag

I just received my WPG repro MkVII bag and I find it superb. I have ordered LK's Raiders strap to compliment it. However, there is one thing that bothers me about the bag. It is the disc that is on the side of the bag. On all other real MkVII's that I've owned, and even on the ones in the movies, the disc was more of a balck color. Now I'm sure that coloration was just from sitting in a bin for 50 years, but is there anyway I can change the coloring on the disc to make it more screen accurate? Thanks.

Yeah, it's called a black sharpie pen. Uh, that's probably the easiest way of making it really black.

During my stint in the TN Army National Guard, we used a product called 'M-NU on our field gear to darken or refinish brass or silver, snaps, etc. It does wear off eventually, but it will stay darkened for awhile.
Actually, when no 'M-NU could be found, we used black Sharpie markers as well
. I would look at your local Army Surplus store for it. If not there, I'm not sure where one could get it.
Hope this helps.

If it is real brass, you can use brass black, it is applied and actually chemically weathers the brass. IT is used for firearms but it works wonderful! I believe the website is

ITG,
The M-NU won't rub off on clothes, but it will stain them if it gets on there before it dries. Just be careful when using and let it dry. It doesn't take long. Afterwards, if it chips off down the road, and it will if abuses repeatedly, just re-apply.

Yup, I stained my BDUs and even civilian clothes with it. As Saw said, just be careful with it or wear old clothes when applying it. Also, if it does wear off down the road, I don't remember it being that expensive and one bottle will last you awhile.
