Club Obi Wan

Well, being stuck for 2 weeks in the most boring place in the country, Idabel, OK (apologies to anyone from there) for my job, I finally decided I'd do something about the brim of my Akubra that I always thought was a little too wide for my face. A quick trip to Wal-Mart produced a compass, ruler, fabric chalk, 150 grit sand paper, and scissors for a total of $10. A quick shot of vodka and fifteen minutes later I had a much nicer proportioned fed dlx.

Perfect! It really was super easy. For anyone thinking about doing it don't worry, just try to cut in as a continuous motion as possible. Just 1/8'' was all it took!

I had to take 1/4 inch off mine, made a big difference.

Seriously, I really envy you folks that have guts enough to go to work on your feds like that. I for one would never forgive myself if I made a poorly placed snip...

Agreed. All I've been able to do was tighten the pinch.

I took off probably an inch from my Akubra (or close to it)!!! Talk about a big difference.

Looks pretty good to me... I actually think it's a little hard to see much change, except in the front. I still think it looks good though.

I also took 1/8 inch off of my Fed Dlx. It's amazing how much a difference such a little change can make.

Please give me your girlfriends number. I would love to inform her about your multitasking.
