Has anyone tried these? They are available in Taupe, which is nice but I was wondering about the cut because I owned a pair of their "Classic Fit dress chinos" for a while and felt that they were cut too narrow for SA or my likeing, so I sold them. I like the color on these "year rounds" though.

There is also these, which are called "natural fit" and supposed to be roomy in the seat and thighs, but no taupe..Dark Kahki isn't bad though.

OOPS, I just answered my own question, sort of.... well, I've already owned these pants (year round wool) before
, here's the thread about it:

But I think I may try them again, for two reasons.. first, I ordered the plain front version which may have contributed to my feeling that they were too slim. Secondly, these new ones are apparently made from a different wool, washable as apposed to the old ones that were from Merino. I may even order up a size for a looser fit ala Ford's extremely baggy fit in the first two films. Oh BTW, they have back pocket flaps, well used to have anyway. I'm not really interested in the Dress chinos because of them being of cotton.

Doug, the first pair is very good Raiders colour.
I owned a pair of Chinos from LL Bean and they are now my Temple of Doom ripped pair to go with the ripped shirt.

Can anyone confirm for sure that these have back pocket flaps? That is always one of the make or break points for me when it comes to Indy style pants, and the website gives no details...

The year round pair doesn't have the flaps, the chinos do. I'm really happy with the pair of Chinos I bought a few months ago. They've help up really well in my adventures in retail. Almost too good, because they still looked too new when I did my Halloween costume.

Don't think that's always the case montana, the ones I bought back in July 2006 definately had the back pocket flaps, I wrote about it in the thread I sited..look at the last reply in that thread. So, maybe there is some fluctuation in pattern from LLB? I agree the color is great, very tempting.

LLB tends to change things without posting them on their site. I'd call to check. Ther person I talked to earlier this year said that they didn't have the flaps on them, that's why I went with the chinos.
