Club Obi Wan

It's been a while since I've posted anything much, mostly because I've been tied up making whips for a TV company in Germany. However, I finally found time to make myself an early birthday present.
I made this 10ft whip from the last of my Morgan hides and I tried to make as close a copy of my '92 Morgan as possible. Of all the whips I've owned, this Morgan is my absolute favourite - the weight, balance, taper, handle length..are all exactly how I like them. Of course, I want to look after this whip which is why I wanted to make a copy that I can beat the #### out of!!
I managed to get pretty close too - the dimensions are almost exactly the same. Only the butt is a little smaller and I may actually redo it. Now for some pics (not the best quality I'm afraid, but never mind).

Beautiful whip, just gorgeous. I see what you mean about the butt, although it's the sort of thing you wouldn't notice unless you were really looking for it. Balance-wise, how does it compare to the DM? :junior: -IJ

Very Nice. As you said, the knot is a little off shape compared to Davids, If your going for an identical match you might want to round it out a bit more, but otherwise your bullwhip looks really good.

Sorry! I've deleted the bigger pics. I'll take some new pics soon, I redid the butt and made it bigger. Now it's really a close copy - it's my Morgan stunt-double

Was this Morgan as light in colour when new as your reproduction is? Just wondering how dark my own Bernardo del carpio roo whip will get!

Well to my untrained eye they look the same now, other than color, so very good job !!
