Ask Michaelson: I'm sure he'd know.

Looks like the old chrome Ray-O-Vac with the glass lense.

One of these, maybe?

What do you know? It
does have a glass lens! More than I expected from a 're-introduced classic'.

Or it could be a Yale from the 20s. Looks much older then the 50s.
Looks like a fish eye lens, which date much earlier.
The glare of the light makes it difficult to see the details of the head and Ford's hand blocks the barrel and switch.
I found this here but so many choices and none exactly match.

Hm. The end cap on the HIPCO looks a little too rounded to me compared with the one in your enlargement.

Call this one mine, think it is quite similar

Indiana Max: Looking at the end cap in ANZAC's enlargement, the two rings on the end cap of the one you posted look similar. The front ring looks similar as well, though it seems a little farther back than the one in the screen shot.
What kind of flashlight is yours?

Max's flashlight looks like the frontrunner to me. VERY close, if not exact.

I agree that his looks the closest so far.

My one is an old Pifco torch flashlight made in the good old empire

Looks like an Eveready to me too, but opinions will vary, as you can see above.

Taking another look. I thought
Indiana Max's looked closer. But on a second (OK, tenth) look holding my light in a similar angle, it's sort of looking more like the Eveready. The front rib in the screen shot is fairly close to the head. There's a ring on the Eveready that looks similar. Also, the button looks as if it might be black in the screen shot and the Eveready has a black button.
I've not been able to find Evereadies like mine online, so I don't know how available they are. But they were widely available around 2000. I bought my set as potential props (I'm a sometime filmmaker), and I can imagine someone in a prop department seeing in them the same potential I did.
OTOH,
Indiana Max's torch is made 'in the good old Empire', so it might fit better with Indy's propensity for English accoutrements.

I didn't think the empire made lightsabers?
Sorry, couldn't resist.

thats what i used one for when i was a kid
like i said in the original post i think it is one of the ray o vacs a sportsmans model to be exact. that pic up above shows the two end caps available on that model. they do have a glass lens and it breaks very easily if dropped.

I'm resurrecting this...
This definitely isn't any of the flashlights already listed...
I watched it again in the theaters today and it's definitely black with 2, possibly 3 silver rings at the bottom. The light/head end also is "stepped", with the end being larger than the middle.
I like the idea of this one:
but I think it's too smooth.
This is another nice option:
but I don't think it's quite right either.
It's definitely a 2-cell model, that I can tell. Anyone have any other info?

Dunno yet. I think I've got a lead on one, but if someone here grabs it from me, I'm gonna flog them with the butt-end of my Morgan!

ACK! I just posted this and saw how big the picture is on my monitor. Is it too big to post? How do I make it smaller if I need to? I thought just the link was going to post, like I did with other postings of our Marion and Indy outfits.
I found this one a few months ago. I just got around to unwrapping it, as I came with 3 others of different antique styles

Minus the red button, I think it looks fine. The source didn't really pan out. Ahd a lot of similar looking Evereadys, but they all have the 3 lines and not just 2. I haven't quite seen anything that looks spot on yet...

Whatever light it is, it looks like its got an indicator light on it.

I have the one Indiana Mark VII has. I don't really think that's a red indicator light on the side of it, and it's not the red button under the slide switch because you can see the slide switch between his fingers. I believe that's just a lighting artifact. I haven't freeze-framed it on dvd yet, but I believe the one I have to be as close as reasonable possible unless new info ever comes about.

Indiana Mark VII's looks almost dead on, is it vintage?

I like the idea of this one:
This looks very very close, but the head might flare out differently? The one in Ford's hand seems to have an even taper.
I agree that some Blu-Ray screencaps would be a big help.

This is a bit of a late response to the question about my flashlight. Yes, is is an antique that I bought in a collection off of eBay a while back. There were several different styles and sizes in the batch, but that was the one that I wanted out of the set. I just checked the end cap and for some reason, I'm not sure that Indy would have had this one in his bag. The one in my photo was made in Hong Kong.

So is mine...but who knows...it's vintage and would have been available at the time. Indy was certainly a patriot, but I don't think he would have looked that closely

I get the feeling that Indy would use anything from anywhere, actually. It seems that his glasses and hat came from England, backpack in KOTCS from Germany or Switzerland, and he would have used whatever was handy no matter his location. So I retract my earlier comment.
