Personalized Wested?

I am in the process of ordering my fourth and final Wested. As the finishing touch, I would like an identifying label such as "Made Especially for ..." or something to that effect. Has anybody had this done? Where is the label located? How much extra is it for this? Much thanks!

Don't know about the whole "made for" phrase, but they will put a name on a tag for you. Mine is located above the inside left pocket. ITG also had her's done, but I don't remember where the placement was.

Thanks for the quick response! I saw a picture of ITG's:

Do these "fit" the jacket? It is hard to tell from a small picture. Would you do it again? I have my Wested label on the neck of the jacket. I have never seen it located like in the picture. Is this a special request?

I have a name tag on my jacket. It's what we call in my business "a delighter". Many thanks to Peter for it.

As far as the label by the pocket, I think that's where they used to be. I am sure it can be moved my a professional seamstress if desired.

Thanks Pyroxene -
I have just ordered the jacket and included the name tag. The label placement is not important, I was just curious. Does the lettering on the name tag hold up well? Do you feel it will rub off with use and look like a plain piece of leather?

It seems like the lettering could rub off over time. However, because it's on the inside and has the "big brother pocket" to help it maintain shape, it seems to hold up quite well. It's just a neat extra.

Cheers,
Pyro.

I had requested that they put the ITG label with the Wested tag, thinking that the Wested tag would be on the back of the neck area. However, I guess they interpreted my request as thinking I wanted the Wested label wherever they put the name tag by default, which was with the pocket. Because they ended up having to make me a whole new jacket, I was much more clear on the placement request. I'd suggest to be very clear with them where you want the label.

Yeah, my jacket's pretty new, but I didn't specify where I wanted the tag. Didn't think about it. I like it over the pocket. As Pyro said, I think it's more protected there and may last longer. Also, the "Made in England" tag is placed under my inside pocket.

That's is sooooo true. I am anxious to see how the authentic lambskin looks. If it's as accurate as it is on the site, I will be going for my third.

I agree, I think a name tag would be an excellent idea, but personally I would wish to embellish mine a bit, something like, Dr. Jonathan C. Rixter, Ph.D., yeah, that looks good. And it just looks so darn impressive to anyone trying to pick your inside pocket. As a matter of fact, I’m currently printing out the diploma I created in Photoshop to hang prominently over my computer as I post to authenticate my credentials for when I order my Wested. It’s just so much easier than spending all those years toiling away studying, not to mention all that money on tuition and books. All I need now is a nice mahogany frame. <Very big wink & grin>

My next modification would be to have the jacket lining be a replica of Indy Magnoli's Chachapoyan Temple Map as opposed to some of the world maps that are sometimes present in the flight jackets.

That's actually a REALLY cool idea! Anyone know a good silk screener?
