I, needing a VERY big jacket, have bought a ahem, BOMBER jacket with :x knit cuffs and waist

the price was right $100 with a $25 discount actually the leather was much better than I expected. it has a distressed style and does not have a shine to it. pictures will be made on Tuesday latest.... like I said I am stand WAY off scale

yeah I know ;0

What's to apologize for? That's what I started out with, and wore until the late 80's! :D

Actually, I had it BEFORE Indy ever hit the screen, but it worked fine for me until I got my first Wested.

there is no shame at all in that dostacos. i've seen some beautiful a2's in this forum and i'm sure there's alot of us that wants to see yours.

i was on the fence about buying an a2 myself as i do like that style of jacket. i bought a flightjacket indyjacket instead which looks like a wested and an a2 both got drunk one evening and well....9 months later.....

can't wait to see pics.

Also keep in mind that the original conceptual drawings of Indy HAD him wearing an A-2, so you're right in the 'zone'. :D

When US Wings had their big clearance sale, I went for a G-2. It's still every bit of an adventure jacket to me! (Granted, I do own an Indy jacket or two. )

actually I have always wanted a bomber jacket this one the cuffs are loose enough that I won't stretch them out pulling the sleeves up my arms [maybe I will quit doing that ]. I think I will "GEAR UP" Monday or Tuesday for some pictures when I drop the weight I will get a wested.

Funny I have an old leather Members only leather jacket, nice leather but boy this thing must be twice as heavy

A Bomber jacket!! That's all I had until this last spring, and I still wear my knit cuff bomber frequently. I have a new Aero A2 winging its way to me as we speak, Mark just let me know yesterday that it is ready.

My first "Indy" jacket was an A2 I bought over 20 years ago. I still have it hanging in my closet. And the sucker still fits ... kind of ... if I use a shoe horn.

Seriously, I don't think you've broken a cardinal sin for buying it. I called Todd's shop the other day to go over pricing and measurments... it's going to cost over $500 for me to get one.

I'd really like to have an Indy jacket this winter but my budget won't allow for that amount right now. So I'm going to go your route and let my son have a Christmas.    :D :D

oh I was poking fun at myself. My wife has already agreed to full outfit AND a Magnoli 3 piece suit oh and a pair of Aldens, only 100 pounds to go \:D/ keep dropin'em

I like the jacket so much I think I may add that to my wife's Birthday pile

I wear my A2 Horsehide more than my Wested LC Lamb. It is a more substantial jacket, but the Wested seems a bit dressier. My G1 Cooper goatskin gets worn

much more than the other two when the weather cools down, so don't think you're alone.

With that line alone, you are one of the luckiest men I know

Actually, my wife and I had the same discussion over the jacket. She keeps telling me I won't look good in a waist level jacket until I drop a few also.

So the jackets an incentive to do something I've been wanting to do anyways.

Good luck with the weight!!!!!!!!!

After being diagnosed with hypothyroidism a handful of years ago (which explained a certain amount of weight gain) my frst Wested was my goal reward for getting down to my ideal weight. Let me tell you, having a reward you're really looking forward to helps keep you moving toward that goal.

I know Bink... I once had the dream of owning a coin operated laundromat on a camp ground in Manhattan. That kept my dream going for years.

Dostacos - Thou hast comitith no sin.. Thou hast kept thy faith of Retro, and thoust Renderking hast forgiven thee of thy past transgressions.
