I'm actually working on some light shading (nothing too complex) and I'll just switch out the picture when I finish. I'm in no rush to fancy it up. EDIT: Done...! That took about half as long as I thought it would!

Thanks for looking, guys! Glad you like it! :D

Shane! That looks awesome! You did draw that all yourself and coloured it with the computer, right? Ever thought about making a comicbook or something like that?

Talking about T-Shirts ... these portraits need to be on some! Well, what about a crystal skull wearing a Fedora? 8) :D

Johnny Fedora wrote:That's awesome! I love that TOD Indy looks unhappy with his hat. :rolling:

Johnny
Originally his face was more exaggerated but then he looked too cartoony. I definitely meant for him to be upset about his hat though. And also note that AB Indy is the only one happy enough to show his teeth. Raiders Indy can't compare his hat to anything else, so he's just happy to be the coolest thing since The Maltese Falcon, and LC Indy is just happy he's not wearing his Temple of Doom hat.

Thanks, Marc!! That last one is a cartoony drawing of based on Steve's and your work! I'm glad to get your approval. :D

I first drew them on graph paper during math class (guess who was bored!) then came home and traced them onto a separate sheet so I could fool around with them and not ruin the originals, and inked them. Then I scanned them, colored them, and shaded them in Microsoft PhotoDraw, an old program that's been discontinued since like 2000 or something. There's a successor coming out but idk what it's called.

If I were to make a T-shirt (like on CafePress I guess...) I would definitely make the picture more complex or ornate or something - it's much too simple now and would make quite a plain shirt!

Hate to do this, but while we're on the subject of avatars, folks, they need to be no larger than 100x100. Yeah, I know, but there it is.

Indy Werner, Johnny Fedora, and McFly, those are over the limit. viewtopic.php?t=9523

Johnny, yours isn't bad, but I've got to be fair when I start swinging an axe. Your's is close, but if you just trim it a bit it'll be in spec.

rhboyd, I LOVE the avatar you made McFly, but could you possibly rebuild it a tad smaller to get under the limit? I have to be fair today.

Werner, that pic is GREAT, but it will make better wallpaper than an avatar. Welcome BACK to COW, you pre-date me by quite a number of years, but unfortunately we have to toe the line here (or is it 'tow' the line? hmm) to keep the avatars from getting too wide and crowding the page. Your help in this would be appreciated.

Other than that, move along, please, and I look forward to a t-shirt...Shane, I punted a note in the same direction we were discussing.

Hey...

I re-did the animation so it's a bit smoother... and resized it so it's proper avatar size now...

The Simpsons have a "simpsonize" website where you upload your picture and the Simpsonize you. How about "Indyize".

Shane, you could Indyize some of the members for avatars, etc. Or custom shirts!

Wow! That was fast! And you captured my "beady" eyes too! Sweet!
Maybe a page like Mike to host some that you do?

Shane, mind if I use it?

Go for it - use it! I don't really want to make 50,000 of them though - so you may be the only guy with a special one like that.

I wouldn't really call myself an artist - once in a while I draw something and it comes out okay - that's why I was so excited about these Indy guys - they actually came out nicely! I do have some other cartoons I've drawn of Indy (the costumes from all the films) but they all have no faces! I was actually thinking about scanning them and doing them like these ones though. And now I have faces I could just copy and paste in!

shane.....i just had this mental burp in regards to your art. it happened when i was getting out of the shower....i have no idea why my brain fired this thought out.....perhaps its a defense mechanism when i was using my pink towel and then my subconscious relayed it to your pink purse

anyways, i don't want to be a party pooper, thorn in your side, wrench in the works, leak in your dyke, hole in your sock, knot in your whip, kink in your brim, custom charges on your wested package......er....where was i.....oh yeah.....

if we are talking 'evolution'.....the TOD fedora was first.....
