Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Fedora
Ok, we can finally call the new hat something other than the "Indy 4 hat"
We have the Raiders Fedora, the Temple Taper, the Last Crusade Lid, and now the Kingdom Crown.
Discuss...ANYTHING BUT VENDORS! Just a reminder.

Re: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Fedora
I think that pretty much sums it up right there. It definatly looks like an Indy hat to me!Johnny Fedora wrote:

Here...for those that are like myself and not really well versed on the different styles of Indy Fedoras throughout the trilogy i found some fairly good representations of each hat so you can compare. If some of you have better screen caps of the hats please add them as i would like to really see how these fedoras compare to each other.

at least 7 more:I'm usually the last person to say this, but seriously... how many threads do we need on the Indy IV fedora?
1. indy 4 fedora ribbon and bow
2. indy 4 fedora liner and sweat
3. indy 4 fedora felt
4. indy 4 fedora, how to store when wet
5. indy 4 fedora, black or brown pecard treatment?
6. indy 4 fedora, need help with sandpaper, alcohol and acetone
7. indy 4 fedora, new gold plated and solid brass versions
I have to agree with G on this one. The "Tank rescue hat" looks like a completely different hat to me, and I also have to add that it does appeal to me more than the Grail Temple hat, which I don't really like. Now, if we're talking "same hat, different scene" with LC, then I think the Tank rescue hat is the same one we see Ford wear at the very end of the motorcycle scene (not during the chase itself, but the scene at the crossroads) and is also the hat worn throughout the plane chase (with the exception of inside the tunnel, which was an interior shot filmed later) and through the streets in Iskinderun in Sallah's borrowed car, as well as the scenes in the desert before the tank chase. Just my opinions, based on my own observations, of course.
Anyways, that hat is easily my favorite LC style.

ydam....you de man!
there was speculation that the tank rescue hat is the same as the tod bridge hat. you've put them side by side for a nice comparison. they do look pretty darn close don't they. further speculation is that both of these are HJ's and if so.....the TOD hj is a leftover from raiders.
all rumor based on observations from the good folks here but we have no info to refute the statements......so, i'll buy that for $1

G, you know I play fair, which is why I left your account active and instead emptied your bank account. Yeah, I agree the two are different hats, but I said that only because the same hat can look different just depending on how he put it on his head, yet we sometimes think they're always different hats. I still stand by my love for this hat, though:

I never said it was my favorite, but I do like the looks of this hat. I think my favourite is a combination between the idol and Well of Souls hat from Raiders, and the motorcycle hat from LC. So I guess if the IJ4 hat looks to be a Raiders/LC hybrid, then THAT's my favourite!Indiana G wrote: we all have favourite hats.....if this one is yours, then i guess i like it a little more than i use to now.

MJ, I love your avatar. I can't look at Buford T. Justice and not laugh. I always think of two scenes that crack me up.
One is when he has the kids stopped and is talking to them, walks behind one and kicks him square in the seat of the pants and says, "Now, THAT was an attention getter!"
The other is when he looks at his son, after Junior did something else stupid, and says, "Junior, there is NO WAY that you came from my loins. Remind me when we get home to punch your momma right in the mouth!"
