Does anyone know of Wested making a small Raiders jacket?

I recently placed an order for a custom Raiders style jacket with Wested. I am really hoping that it will not be too big. I have previously ordered a womens small leather jacket that gave almost the right measurements and it was huge! I am so worried that it will be big. I am a small frame female and can and do wear girls 14/16 clothes, along with small womens clothes. Has anyone had any experience with ordering a Wested that is smaller than anything "off the rack" that they sell?

Now when you say "small" do you mean....

 I think we all worry about the jackets being the wrong size. It's normal.

Welcome to COW Lara.

You should pm Elodie. She's 5'3" and very petite. I remember Elodie did say she requested a Ladies' Cut from Wested, they may make everything a bit slimmer to fit. I think give all the usual measurements, and say you want a ladies' cut.

Hey Elodie I hope you don't mind me posting your pic :)

Hi Lara,

Welcome!

They do make verysmall if required the as the pic above shows!

They also can do a ladies cut. Make sure you give all your measurements, and say you want a ladies trim fitting cut, (You probably have to go into a bit more detail on sizing bust, waist, hip, back, shoulder length. etc. IMO it is important not to allow any extra room just measure a comfortable fit for each measure.)

I've seen one ladies fit I think, Pandora's, and it fits her very well. But it may have had to have been adjusted after first manufacture (by Wested) for a better fit.

I beleve Canyon's is a mens cut but may be wrong, her jacket is a little looser.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone!

I did ask for the ladies cut, so hopefully all will go well. I tried to give a little extra on the measurements, but then I was worried anyway.

That child size small one is so cute! Is that a Wested or other less expensive? I would love to get one for my son if it cost less (they grow out of things so fast and what he does to his things!)

I am probably just worried without reason, as said.

It's great to know that they have made a proper womens fit before, I am also 5'3"!

Thank you all so much for the reassurance! You guys have really eased my worries.

Happy Tomb Raiding,
Lara

Welcome Lara, glad to see another Croft around these parts.

We all feel your stress when ordering a jacket, hoping that when it comes in it'll fit perfect. I've ordered two from Wested and had to send one back for an adjustment. It went fine. If it comes to that though chime in here as there's a specific way to send it back.
But once you get it, you'll be hooked. And of course can't wait to see pic's
So what other peice's of gear do you have.

Welcome aboard, Lara! It's always nice to see more ladies around these parts, especially in a largely male-dominated hobby. Don't worry, these guys don't bite, and we use cattle prods on a few to keep them in line. Anyhow, I remember ordering my first Wested and being concerned about the fit and wondering if I got my measurements right. If you talk to the folks at Wested about your concerns and give them all your measurements, you should end up with a jacket that fits you perfectly. When mine arrived, all my fears were grounded and I was extremely pleased with it. Good luck!

As long as you have provided the correct measurements you have nothing to worry about. :)

Let us know when it arrives!

Oh, and WELCOME to the madness!

Hey Lara - the mini Wested up there belongs to member Dr._J and he got it for his daughter for 70 pounds.

Oh yeah, and a warm welcome to you! It's always nice to have more girls around - it helps keep the testosterone in check (or maybe makes it worse. I'm not sure )

Enjoy your beautiful jacket!

Actually, that's not ours. Peter brought that one to the QM that year. My Daughter's is smaller and pre-distressed cowhide.

 Actually, I may have bitten CR by accident the other day. I heard a yelp, and then everything went black. #-o

Seriously, though. I second Bink's sentiments in welcoming another lady into our midst. Don't frett the Wested. It should be OK.

I agree. Always great to see more ladies joining. The great thing about this place is that all the guys here are perfect gentlemen and always take care of us ladies. In short, they are sweeties. :P

I remember that when I ordered my jacket, I specified that it was for a petite lady (I'm 5' 2") It is a bit looser and I'm thinking about getting it taken in slightly.

Lastly, will this be your first piece of gear, or do you have some already?
