I know, I know, but yet another Todds Lamb

Post by Indiana Croft »

First chance I've got to show off my new Todds Lamb. It's awsome.
The one change I asked for and was granted (sorry no pic of it) was I belive that the X box stiching is SA, why you ask. Long time ago before I found Cow I used the Link to find Wested and ordered a ROTLA distressed cow and told Peter I wanted ROTLA specs.
It came w/X box stiches in the strap areas. But I digress. I wore this jacket at my local sand pit on the first non-humid day that came along. It felt so comfortable even after I started to move around, yea I sweated some but still felt good.
So light and just has that perfect fell to it. And the sizing was perfect (1st time too).
I'm about 5'-5" and the size was 40S. I sent him all me measurment to get it right and it turn out perfect. I can't say enough about this jacket. My Wested Auth. goat will always be my main jacket and my Todd's will be the jacket for when I go out w/the Misses who was fantastic in giving me the green light to purchase a 2nd jakcket. Love that woman. In other words this one will distress naturaly (I know Michealson will be pleased)

The only thing to do is give a coat of Letap for protection when I go out w/chance of rain. So I've rambled on enough, here are the pic's.

It seems NONE of Todd's jacket suffer from the wrinkling of the back pleats as the Westeds are all prone to do.

Todd, what is your secret? How do they stay straight?

Peter, how come yours continue to wrinkle as they do?

I just see this very often on the Westeds. Mine is no exception.

Wested.

The back pleats on my Wested Lambtouch does also wrinkle very much because of the thin leather. I believe if you get a thicker hide then the back pleats will look more straight. Would be interesting if Todd's lambskin also suffer from this problem. I can't see it well at Indiana Croft's pictures.

Much regards

Orb if you give me a little more direction I'll see if I have any shots that'll show how it looks on my Todd Lamb.

Not really sure as this peice of gear was bought on E-&#Y, about 4-5 years ago. Quite actully I think it might have been listed on the orriginal main page under the MK bag pics (has this black stain (small) on the front flap. And I remeber one time seeing it there, then it was on E-%$Y and I won it. So I don't know who's strap it is, sorry.

And last but not least, Indiana G wrote:

I love the comparison, thanks. Now where's that walking carpet, Chewieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Thanks again everyone, Croft

IC, I'm so glad to see how great the jacket looks on you. Almost like it was made for you! ...wait a minute...it WAS made for you! Seriously, I hope you get many years of enjoyment from it.
Todd, what is your secret? How do they stay straight?
I'll never tell. I was wondering when someone would notice that.

Thanks Puppetboy, this jacket is so soft that I just can't wait for those oppertunity's to wear it. Feel so comfortable.

Oh and I'll be ordering a delux holster soon to.

Thanksa again and I think I can speak for all who've had the pleasure of buying one (or are going to) of your jackets, that you have made a differnce in the hobbie of collecting gear. Your workmanship is awsome, your attention to detail is second to none. Thank you.

Well right now up here in my neck of NH it's just under 60 degrees (time is 9:20), and I think I'll take the dog out and I'll need a jacket hmmmmmmmmm which to wear, which to wear.

Todd

Will you be making a slightly longer version for the TOD fans? I just always think the Raiders style seems too short on me!

Thanks!

C3,

Since the TOD jackets were left over Raider's back-ups, no. If you require a longer jacket due to your build, yes, I can do that. Just tell me and I will customize your jacket with the smaller pockets and the weird side vent and double prong buckle. No problem.

No kidding, huh?

Doesn't look anything like any of the three I've owned from 1998-2001.

I don't want to derail the thread, but is there any way someone could PM me the specs on that? The leather looks fantastic. It looks like a screen used LC jacket!

Oops, changed the link above since it led to THIS thread. #-o

And to clarify... Morsegeist (the guy in the picture) posted that picture with a bunch of others in the Worn-Look thread, and his post leads one to assume that he is talking about the Worn-Look jacket. Also, his jacket looks pretty much exactly like my darker colored worn-look.

Your (Michaelson) post in the link provided was thus not about a veg-tanned jacket, but actually about whether MY jacket was indoors or outdoors! (You were right when you guessed indoors btw) ;)

This is because much earlier in the thread, whiskyman posted pictures of worn-look jackets (mine included), when discussing worn-look jackets... :P

You're confused too?

My understanding was that this particular jacket was supposed to be the darker pre-distressed lambskin version that came AFTER the 10 lighter colored versions, and was NOT one of the new vegetable tanned jackets.

Otherwise, your guess is as good as ours. :D
