Found this when looking for custom shoes. Looks Alden-ish.

I think whatever color you would like.

I didn't notice the price till I was looking through their website more closely:

How much does it cost to have shoes made?
The price of our shoes and boots includes your consultation, measurements, patterns and making bespoke lasts. The first pair of bespoke shoes cost from £1350  plus VAT. Subsequent shoes are £200 less than a new customer's price at the time of ordering, because we have your details. Our terms are a deposit of three-quarters or a £35 discount, if orders are paid in full. When you consider the durability, quality, comfort and standard of individual fit, these shoes represent true value for money

So, not exactly a less expensive alternative to the Alden. ;) I think I'd try out a pair of Magnoli's boots long before sinking money into those. They're great looking boots, though. I'd love to try a pair out. :-k

Sure. If Jennifer Lopez can make perfume, P-Diddy (or whatever the #### his name is) can make clothing, and Paul Newman can make salad dressing, why not let James Taylor make shoes? :)

"Just yesterday morning, they let me know you were gone....
wearing the shoes, I had made you at dawn!"
