I got this holster from ebay, sorry no pics. then I got a toygun, that shoots red rubber pellets. It fits in the holster but the flap can not close.







Here are my results today. I removed the barrel and added a new one from PVC and put metal cylinders inside to give it some weight. I was thinking about removing the flap and getting a leather, hopefully that is the same color and making a new bigger flap. What do you think. Or I will have to make a new holster.

It's kind of hard to figure out your problem without pics, but it could be the shape of the gun in your holster that's the problem. For instance, the Raiders holster flap is designed to wrap around the grip of the S&W and close. However, the angle and shape of the grip of other revolvers don't necessarily match the S&W, so the Raiders holster wouldn't close properly for that gun. Think along these lines: a square peg doesn't go into the round hole.

I've had a simalar problem trying to put my #66 357 mag in my S&W Victory holster. Even though the frame size is the same the barrels fatter and the site is bigger. The old S&W had tapered barrel and thin half round sites, from the picture it looks like the barrel not going into the bottom of the holster?

Ah, pics! Looks like the problem is you're trying to put a "S&W" into a Webley holster. If you look at the Webley and S&W pictured below, you'll notice the grips are shaped and angled a little differently.



The shape and angle of the holster flap are meant to accommodate the shape of a specific revolver shape. You'll notice that a Webley sits differently within the same holster shape than your plastic S&W.



If you try something along the lines of a Raiders style holster, I think that should take care of your problem. That, or find a plastic Webley.

Oh man, the same thing is happening again. I swore I would not have to go through this again, like when I started my Stormtrooper, my Boba and vader. Never got the first one right.

But I think I´m gonna get of the right start with the suit, I´m talking to a great fellow you all now about suiting me up.

If anybody has pics of the raiders holster please chime in. In the meantime I think I´m gonna try to make a bigger flap that should do it for now.

mobius, you should be able to find ALL kinds of pics of the Raiders holster here, especially on the main site. Just do some basic searching here. Also, if budget is an issue, Todd's Costumes offers a nice Raiders budget holster perfect for replica guns (though it's not recommended for a true firearm).

I found plenty of pics, did a little search. Money is not that big of an issue for me, although I can´t loose an arm or a leg over it.I wen´t to todd´s site and saw both the deluxe and standard. I will probably have a talk with him.

I´m don´t wan´t to take the risk and order a replica, even though it is resin, cause the weapons act is very strict, and is says that no replica gun, functioning or not can be imported or manufactured in Iceland. I don´t wan´t to pay 150$ + on a gun and have customs stop it at the post office.

BB guns and airsoft guns are not allowed, even swords. I´m a police officer and I tried to get a permit to buy swords and they said no just an idea how strict it is.

That is why I wen´t the toy gun route.

I think the lack of fit results from the "Knuckle" in front of the cylinder. I had a similar problem with an Colt/S&W like toy, with the same profile your pistol has.

My real Webley pistol is slightly slimmer in the "Knuckle-Area". The Webley frame hinge is in the "Knuckle" area I'm talking about. You may be able to do some sanding/filing to get the area slimmer, and that will allow it to slip all the way into the holster.

It´s one of those guns that shoots orange rubber bullets. Don´t know the maker but I got it a my hobbystore. I removed the barrel and made a new one. I found some brass cylinders in my shed that fitted perfectly into the plastic barrel, giving it some weight and a realistic look. I made the revolver pin from some metal pin I found and made the front part of it from wood. It is to long but I can live with it.

I told you I planned on getting a bigger flap, that´s what I did and had is sewn on the holster.

This is the status of my gun. Still a bit of detailing to do and painting.

What do you think about this gun, could it pass as an Indy gun.
