Hi,

I'm just new to this site and am impressed with all the info here!!!

I'm trying to get my hands on a brown & khaki webbed belt somewhere in the U.K.

If anyone knows where I could find them I would love to hear from you!

Cheers,

GeordieIndy

welcome to the family :D

noel howard is in the uk and has web belts and they don't come any more authentic than that. check out the indygear site under contacts for noel howard. there is also a price listing there. i believe it was about $10 USD but i'm sure those prices are out of date.

cheers

If I remember correctly NH now charges about £7.50.

You can try H&M and Primark or ask one of our friends from the States for help they are much cheaper over there and may even be cheaper even taking into account postage!

Or you can order from Todd.

Not to disuade anyone form buying NH web belts.

I have one, however I think he may have change dhis supplier since the brown really lightens very quickly.

It's no longer brown it's a light milk chocolate/milky coffee.

I haven't washed it so I'd be darned if I know where the color went.

Not knowing about the other side of the channel, but over here they have quite good brown webbelts in C&A (it is a package of three belts of different wide, one of 'em is really close and has a nice pre-distressed buckle).
The khaki one is quite easy to find - in any military surplus. It's an usual US Army webbing belt ...

Thanks!

Actually, it's a US Marines dress belt (I've had dozens of my dad's old web belts.....they were all black.)

Hi,

Well I have checked out a few of the suggestions put forward about the web belts but am still finding it hard getting my hands on the right ones. I checked out Soldier City but they wanted $62 US Dollars in postage to the U.K. for two belts - ouch!!!!!!

Tried getting a price for postage from Swede & Sons Military Surplus but am still waiting to hear back.

So if you have any more help I would be very grateful!!

Thanks,

GeordieIndy

Try Kevin at Endicotts Military Surplus, Exeter. I got a decent web belt with brass buckle from him a few months ago.

No problemo. Though during the 30s and 40s, the US Army did, in fact, have khaki web belts.

Just spoke to Kev at Endicotts and he has just got an order in of 'French Dress - Officers Belts', he says they look exactly like the Last Crusade Khaki pictured belt on: http://www.indygear.com/gear/belt.shtml.

I've ordered one and should be receiving it today so will let you know how it looks! Price was £4.50 plus £1 postage to U.K. address! Still trying to get hold of a brown one though??

Cheers,

Oh, I forgot to mention that when I was looking for belts a couple of years ago "Claire's" the girls acessories shop had some... the buckles were a bit flimsy and they were the "paint washed antiqued" type but they did have brown belts and thay were cheap. You could clean off the antiquing with some acetone as it was just a laquer.

well my newcastle friend.. thats a guess from the name.

I cant help you with web belts for the UK but.....

I ordered one from todds costumes. and while i was there i looked at the other acessories and ended up buying alot of other things thus killin 2 birds with one stone.

I also ordered indys leather gloves from raiders, a proper screen acurate leather bag strap, gun belt, whip holder, holster,

If you still have to get a few things on that list then todds might help and you can obviously add the web belt to it aswell.

Hope that helps.
