Club Obi Wan

My Fed Deluxe is about six years old now, and a little beaten up. Specifically, metal wires are sticking out the back of the headband and jabbing me in the head. Is this a simple repair job or a costly one? Something I could fix myself?

just snip the wire and pull it out

The wire isn't that important. Just snip and remove. This happened on my Federation so I just pulled it out from where it was poking me.
