AB Dlx Review

Post by darthjones »

Gang!!! Just received my AB Dlx from Marc and it is a show stopper. I have owned high end Borsalinos, HJ's from different time periods, O' Farrell Western hats, and vintage felts, but this hat is hands down the best. It is both firm and soft, pliable, and very ready to settle in to the very Raiders shape it is meant to emmulate.

I do not yet have any pictures and, to be honest, it looks exactly like what Marc has on his site.

What I write here, rather, is to add yet another voice to the fact that this fur feels like silk, the roo band is awesome (really the way to go) and it fits perfectly right out of the box.

Couldn't be more pleased.

Well, the hat kicks ###!!! Funny - seeing it "turned" like this REALLY reminds me of the Raiders hat I saw in '84. That hat WAY back then had the brim sticking out kinda far on the front, right side (non-bow side) just as this one does.

Hmmm - makes one think a bit.

Hey Marc? Do you have those two photos still? I can't seem to find them right off. Will keep looking though.

Just like to add, that the brown is CERTAINLY not as washed out or mottled as it looks in these pics, but somehow my pictures with the digicam never work out as planned...

Looks like the camera took the lightning and focus from the background instead of the hat.
