That knot looks brandy to me, which is close to black, but not quite black

.
So, Bernardo, when you make your Jacka copy, will you use cable in the core? I've heard that Terry now uses fiberglass rod for the handle foundation, and then has a length of steel cable for the core after the end of the handle.
I have one cable-cored bullwhip that I like, by Drew Schrag, but of the Jacka's I've seen with cable cores, I thought they were too heavy for my taste. With the KOTCS-styled whip I'm working on now, I went with an all-leather core and skipped the cable, but I'd like to give the cable a try when I have more time.
Right now I've stopped taking further orders as I'll be away in Arizona and California performing for a few months. Now I'm thinking I might stop taking orders all together so I can make the whips I want to make in between whipcracking gigs.
I'd really like to have the time to make a couple KotCS whips to see how close I can get to the pics we have, as opposed to having 2 months' worth of IOAB orders weighing me down (which is what this past year was like).
Bernardo, what do you think of your new Jacka whip?
