My New 10' Bullwhip

Well, here is another great piece of gear to add to my collection. ;) This is a 10' 12 plait Indy bullwhip. Anyone care to guess the maker :?: Now to learn to crack the da*n thing.. :-k First, I need to attach the popper. (came off) Good thing there is a thread on how to do that... :wink:

I think it's a dead ringer for the Raiders whip. Here's a maker who is really dedicated to the craft.

It's not one of mine. I taper my strands and only use roohide. This looks more like cowhide to me.

Thanks everyone... It IS a very nice whip. :) The maker is Gus Caicedo ;) The whip is cowhide.

Gus does excellent work, and ships quickly. I am getting some practice just throwing the whip out, and it seems to respond well.
