Giovanni Celeste Kangaroo 9ft

I just received this morning a 9ft. kangaroo whip from Giovanni Celeste. This time I went for a light natural tan colour with no leather treatment at all.
I'm sorry if in these pictures it won't look as good as it is but, as usual, when I receive some piece of my gear it gets always dark and rainy. I'll surely take more when the sun comes back in the next days.
Now I need a belt, a whip-holder and Pecard a lot

? What do you mean you need a whip holder?
Thanks Aeris. For whip-holder I mean that piece of leather attached to the whip that holds it

I rarely use a whip holder, my home-made screen accurate one doesn't work well enough. I just keep it loosely coiled somewhere.

Erri,
glad you got your roohide whip at last. How does the weight compare to last whip? I hope it's heavier! If you get the chance it'd be great to have some outdoor shots and comparison shots.
As for Pecards, you can get it in the UK here:

Happy cracking

The weight is much heavier than the whip you tried. I can't wait to take it outdoor aswell but the weather has been nasty lately
(just from the day I received it!).
Thanks for the link to the Pecard, I'm having a look at it just now

Some new pics taken a few days ago while trying to crack it. I was surprised I was able to crack it from the very first moment... still fresh from whiskyman's teachings.
Here are the pictures

Great Pictures Erri,
Just as an observation and a suggestion, try changing your grip. Don’t hold the handle of the whip like it’s a club. That will make for a very ridged connection to the whip and your arm. The whip is flexible, your arm is flexible, so your connection to the whip should be flexible too. Instead try letting the turkshead knot rest in your palm to form a ball an socket like connection, kind of like so.
This should allow you a finer control while throwing the whip and give you a better feel for subtle variations in your motions. Try it and see how it works for you.

Thanks a lot Dan, I have to keep that in mind. It's a good suggestion that I happen to forget quite often.
Thanks

Erri,
thank you so much for your review and nice comments about my whips...
I'm very glad you like my whip, have good crack and be safe
Thanks again
Giò
PS: Dan is right, this is the right grip with knot in your palm and the thumb on the handle.
