New Member: Loves Akubra Federations

I'm a new member; this is my first post.
I've been a hat wearer for several years, trying to avoid more of those awful noncancerous sun warts we children of the 60's seem so prone to. A few months ago I stumbled onto the Fedora Lounge and then found this site.
In all honesty, I never realized I loved the Indiana Jones fedora as much as I do. I had worn Stetsons and Borsalinos, but when I put that first Akubra Federation on my head, I knew those proportions were what I needed. I'm a big guy: 6'4" and over 230 pounds, so I can handle the taller crown and wider brim.
I haven't yet gotten into the turn, and my front pinch isn't quite as tight as most of yours. I prefer the more dressy look af Indy's hat as he boards the plane to Nepal in ROTLA.
Well, I ordered an Adventurebilt in beaver from Steve in March, and am patiently waiting my 20 weeks. Currently, I have gotten rid of all my Stetsons and Borsalinos and have 2 Akubra Federations (one in dark brown and one in tawny fawn, a beautiful hat), a Federation Deluxe in brown, and an Akubra Drover coming in today probably.
As you all know, Steve Delk is a fun guy to get to know. We have chatted on the phone and exchanged E-mails. I am a part-time musician, and I sent him my CD of 10 original songs.
I'm not (yet) into the full costume like most of you guys, though I'm often seen in khakis and a leather jacket (in colder months) and always my fedora. I've been a shooter since I could aim a revolver. I love Smith revolvers, have several and an old Colt heavy barrel, uncatalogued.
I'm looking forward to our conversations here.
