S&W Model 58

Post by Ark Hunter »

I'm not much of a gun guy, but I keep receiving issues of Guns & Ammo (because I ordered from TAPCO) and June issue has feature on a S&W Model 58 heavy frame .41 Magnum service revolver, which looks like it would be a good "modern" (1964-77) Indy look a like. Will that be too new for Indy 4 do you think?

Also, I don't know if this is of any use Indy gun wise. It's got kind of history of the N frame. http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg77-e.htm

In my opinion, cut that looooong barrel down, and you got a close piece of kit there!

I kinda like the long barrel. That's just me, though. In all honesty, Indy could still be using his old HE-2 form the "old days" as long as he took care of his gun. The old Smiths were, and still are, very solid and reliable revolvers.
