Looking forward to see the pics. I am mostly interested in the sleeves. I need to see how narrow they are.
I have seen some fat guys wearing that jacket on other posts and it looked like @#$%, so I turned it down.
If your photos are good it means the jacket has potential for me so you will save me a lot of dollars from buying from other vendors.
Please include photos of the shoulders and epaulets. If you can show photos as worn it will be great.

Congrats _!! They make a fine product and the quality of their product is somewhat under-rated in my opinion, their customer service is hit and miss at best though.
I have recent experience with US Auth. (Dover) because I had them build me a fully custom Type A-1 a couple of months back. It's a beautifull jacket made from their wonderfull Vintage Horsehide and has contrasting dull gold stitching all over.
I also had them send me one of their Indy jackets (vintage goatskin) last June for a size fitting. Though that particular one was too small I absolutely loved that jacket - I had Wested create a custom jacket for me instead. I will probably get another one of their Indys in vintage goat at some point, can't shake the memory
. Here's a link to the thread I made with pictures of it (pics start about 3/4 down and continue) (lousy cell phone camera - sorry).

I've always been a fan of the "G-8 (aka type 440)" jacket, regardless if it is a modern creation. They might be a good company to have make me one. The bonus (since it was created in the 80’s) is there would be no peanut gallery telling me something’s not “authentic” on the jacket. Cheers

Drifting off topic a bit, I always was impressed by the embossed patches on the site even though they are probably not exactly what you may want on an expensive A-2 or G-8. But, dern if they don't look good even in 2D.

Asked Dover specifically, I believe his reply was something like "chrome tanned, vegetable RE-dyed". It's really nice and not overly thick and heavy like some horsehide.

It took only 1 week to get my A-2 from them and that includes a big jump over the Pacific. It was a 46T and I love the look and feel of their med brown goat. The sleeves were very narrow. It made me wonder how pilots got their arms in there with a flight suit. The slim body was a big plus too.

hey dj007,
would you say that the medium brown goat is the correct colour for an indy jacket? the russet, vintage and seal do not look like contenders but the MB goat does...or is my monitor in need of adjusting?

Above is medium goatskin A-2 by US Authentic.
A complete turn-off.
I hope your jacket doesn't look like that.

Here's one of the HH vintage sent to me by S. Dover.
It looks a bit bulky to me and therefore a bit crappy.
Is yours anything like that? If I order "trim" fir as you did do you think the result will please me?

It has a nice milk choco color to it. The pics are a little dark but the ones of the collar and pocket are very close to what I see in person. At 189cm and 105 kilos with a 120cm chest the 46R was a very good fit but the arms (to me) were a hair short, but I like long sleeved jackets. When I compare this to my Wested DB lamb, it feels like a tank and is more along AB goat from them. I have an old (circa 80's) biker jacket highwayman style that is cow and this jacket is not nearly as stiff as that thing. The inside of the pockets were the male half of the snap is has an extra piece of leather for reinforcement also. Compared to my aircrew buddies REAL G-1, they are about the same in feel and color. I hope this helps.

Hi _ - I'm jealous of the Vintage HH! I got my standard seal brown HH A2 from them about two years abo and really like it. I'm not sure if they were offering the vintage style back then, but if they were I missed it!
I found Shaul very helpful and speedy to deal with, especially as I also asked for some custom work. I did think about getting his Indy Jacket in the vintage HH, but by all acounts it's not that great a version.

Hey _, I am one click away from ordering a A-2 jacket. It may be a US Auth.
Can you please post a review with photos ?
