my gio cracks like a rifle

Hello fellow members, Last year some of you may remember I had a problem with the knot on my gio whip. the whip went back to italy and gio fixed it pronto. free of charge . Gios customer service is top notch, so far the knot seems solid as a rock. I didnt get much practice in last year with winter comming on , But around the same time I got my Gio I got a nylon whip so I was able to practice with that during the wet and cold months. Now with some short dry spells here in N.H. I can use my gio, its a 10' rotla looks a lot like the 12' Gio just posted. It is incredible, it has broken in very quickley and now that I can crack on command It can sound like a gun shot when goes off I dont have much experience with whips , but I notice a difference in handling between the the roo hide and nylon. The nylon is more pliable it does not have its own natural curve you can coil it however. The handle is a steel spike wich makes much heavier than the Gio. The Gio seems much easier to handle and to crack I think I prefer the weight of the Gio much more, it has some heft but not much, but I have no other experience with whips to compare. The Gio is everthing I expected , the nylon is quite nice also, its a 10' indy style in tan 550 dipped in paraffin so its now dark brown. It looks more like a TOD as the wax wears off it looks distressed. I am very pleased with both whips, now I wait for the neighbors to call the police because they think Im shooting in the back Yard.
