Cotton Trousers another source.

Ok, I've found another route for trousers, the colour is a little grey but watch the Temple sequence, you'd be surprised. The real colour of these is in between the grey and the sandy colour of the last pic.
These are cotton so completely washable and made to measure. What do you think? I'll not tell you the price yet, just want your input.
eg. Should the flaps be more pointy?

The flaps are pointy enough IMO, but a little on the wide side.
Still, very good "close-enoughs" to interest me. (Depending upon the $$)
I suppose the pants are across the pond though?.....

those are nice KT. the flaps are good IMO. they could stand to be a little less wide and hence have a more triangular shape overall.
IMO when you go cotton, you're already in the "close enough" range for pants so i typically look for a decent color and the presence of flapped pockets (and double pleats of course).

Alright
KT..... Can you get the pants with the pocket flaps cut like the 2nd picture? If so, how much?
Or are you just having fun photochopping today, and yanking our chains?.....

The top pics were their first attempt, they say they can do more pointy. I will probably try to fix up the details and get a second sample done. Then I'll point you in the right direction. I'll send them the photoshpped pic as ref.
These will come in at about $50 a pair plus shipping. The material is a chino weight cotton so not denim thick.
They are made to your size specs and take about 3-4 weeks from order to delivery.

Hmm I might be in for one of those.
The color seems to be quite varied by the light. And the pants with the different scallop looks like an even darker brown. Is it the same color?

Button Fly or not? It's a reasonable price either way and they look good to me. (prefer buttoned though
)

Trying to find the closest colour and get a template for the flap down, then I'll post a suggested colour.
This will be avalable in a range of colours but only in one weight.
These will be pretty customiseable, pleats or no pleats, button or zip fly.

customizable?
Pleats or no?
Button Fly or no?
This is sounding better and better. I personally like the flap in the darker pair on your subsequent post.

Ok, samples round 2. Colour is still not right but the pockets are looking good!
No photoshopping at all.
I've asked for some colour swatches as the images they've sent me are no good for matching.

Nice to have the pleatless option.
How's the rise? How's the leg width?
Are either adjustable options?

You get to spec all those
. The fit is only as good a your own measurements.

You know, oddly enough I found a pair of cotton twill trousers that had the right color and everything at Target. They were only $24.00. Very similar if not identical to the LL Bean Chinos talked about around here.
Cheers!

I just saw those same pants at Target last week as well... the only problem I saw was that they were cut a little too baggy I thought.. but still ad a great color.. flap closure on the rear pockets.. and a great price

Please post some pics, for that price they could really fit the bill. Might be Oak Creeks all over again. (and those are great).

I'm wearing a pair right now. Great pants, great price, wrong color, wong cut, no pleats. It does have pocket flaps, but they are the wrong shape as are the belt loop placement. Until KT masters his pants and Magnoli sources some better cloth, these are my indy pants.
