Jacket Arrives W/Pics !!!

I ordered it on the 19th and it was at my doorstep today. 9 working days and it was reported as being in the mail by Gemma, personally. I can't wait to provide pics as this Temple of Doom jacket appears to be way different than his normal pattern. It is WAY more "Raiderized" side vent. The side vent actually is open up to mid-strap on the coat like a Raiders Jacket. I literally had to take the coat off to double-check.. but yes.
I have had folks almost drive off the road when they saw me in my Fedora and new jacket and I have only had it 3.5 hours .... If anyone has questions please feel free to ask .

Unusually high cut side vent for a Temple jacket :)

The Predistressed Cowhide looks great! Also very good pocket size.
Some pics with you wearing your TOD jacket would be nice.

Much regards

Very cool, Scott! Did you ask for the Raiders side vents, or just came that way? Also, is that Authentic Brown?
Really nice. Really nice. =P~

Chewie,
All I asked for was a size 36 Temple jacket with 34 chest and 23.5" sleeves... The jacket was requested to be pre-distressed cowhide. I am noticing that the sleeve holes are very small but incredibly comfy. It is as tho Peter had read one of our Temple threads on "the perfect TOD" (recently posted) and this was his attempt to come very close.. From what I read in the thread, I really think this is close. Thank you for the kind words. I will post some pics with me wearing the jacket soon.

Scott

P.S. Does anyone know someone that could translate the phrase "At what point does this become an obsession" into Latin or German? I think that would look nice as a sticker on the coat hanger...

Nice looking bit of work there. Did you ask for large pockets?

Great jacket swright007.... :)

Could you measure the length and width of the pocket?

Just curious.....

7" tall from bottom of pocket to top of the flap. . 6" Wide and the flap is 2.5" tall at it's widest point.

I have been studying the jacket just in case such questions came up since about 10:45 when the nice US Postlady showed up with my triple-bagged goody.

It really does look like wested have improved the pattern a great deal. The tapered 'back' bit, the longer bit at the shoulder, smaller arm holes (I think was the most important change), even the pockets look much better. Wish i'd waited a couple of years to get mine, but that's the way it goes.

I might just have to get one of these new improved westeds..

It's good to see the lead time shorter! Nice looking jacket, I'm normally not a big fan of the predistressed cow but it certainly does have it's own charm.

Please can we have some pics with it on to see how it fits?

that's one mighty fine jacket! Looks really great. Can't wait until I get a reply from Wested so I can order one myself. *Indy-drool™*

Really sharp looking jacket. I would say that you could send it my way when you're tired of it (I'd love to get a Temple jacket), but that'll probably never happen. :) Besides, I'm a good ten sizes larger.

Does Wested just not use the rectangular sliders anymore at all? Or are they just on a high shelf somewhere where peter and gemma can't reach it. It seems like every new jacket had stupid ### d-rings!

I think they must have a huge supply of the D-rings and want to get rid of them before re-ordering or something.

When I ordered they really were pushing the D-Rings... I even specifically asked what they RECOMMENDED and Gemma said D-Rings. Don't know why... they just did.

Is it just me or are those pockets huge for a TOD?

Nice jacket. Like the hide. May well go for a distressed lamb when it becomes available.

No it's not just you. They are huge. But remember, just because it's called a TOD jacket doesn't mean it looks much like the real thing.
