I got the pictures developed yesterday, we're going to scan them this afternoon, so theoretically, they should be up sometime tonight...I just have to make a webpage (shouldn't be too hard to do something basic.)

Edit to post: We went to Kinko's to use the scanner, and they didn't have a CD-burner on the computer (laaaaaame), so it's gonna be a bit longer. I really do want to show these...the dress is awesome, as are HJS's gear pictures. --M

At the price I paid for it, I'm keeping it in "Belloq's tent condition!" Besides, who knows, maybe someday it could be used as a wedding dress (as Marion's Theme plays as I walk down the aisle...)
Maybe at some point I'll do a much cheaper version that I can distress to my heart's content.

Same here, this is something that my wife can point to this and say to the other wives in the neighborhood and say I'm not just a nut, but belong to a vast group of well balanced individuals.

I'm amazed at how well we all get along and how like minded we are... focusing more on our similarities and not our few differences. Not many other groups I've belonged to have been this great!

Ohhhh, man, so we really want to broach that subject? Politics are something that no one will ever budge on, something I've seen spark a lot of arguments (and even end a few friendships), and I just don't think we should open that can of worms on this forum! Maybe something more along the lines of whether you prefer Mexican or Chinese food...but from what I understand, there's another forum for discussing those sorts of matters anyways. Now maybe a poll on whether INDY preferred Mexican or Chinese (but please, not his political preference, no fights, please!)

From what I've seen, there are gearheads from all creeds here, and that's one of the wonderful things about this forum--that so many people from so many different walks of life can all come together for a common cause and passion.

Nope, you're right. I knew I shouldn't have written that. But normally most individual survey entries are anonymous, so I doubt it would end any friendships. Some of us seem to get pretty heated up on the subjects of hats and jackets anyways.

Too true. I guess I'm just one of those who can agree to disagree on those sorts of matters. A lot of people have strong opinions (including me), and I've found that it's OK, as long as everyone has what makes THEM personally happy, and it's good to be glad for others when they have the gear that makes them happy.

I have a better idea than discussing politics at Indygear. We could just fill out the interests section of our profiles. You know, a lot of people in the The Club have left them blank.

Great picture Dalexs! It's getting more and more difficult to compete with you young guys. I'm either going to have to start working out harder, or just give up completely, and settle for just being wiser.

Hmm, well I'm only 16 so I'm not sure I've really decided yet. I've really been leaning in that conservative direction though even though I've got nothing against democrats, so maybe I'm deep center. Oh and I live in California too.

The rest gets dirty as needed ( that and special Fx).

Actually, I wasn’t actually thinking about politics’ this time. (Yea… I know, call the papers, alert the media…) I remember the few times here that when there were fellow gear heads were actually in trouble and we were all eager to do what ever we could to help. What are the first words we always seem to type? “That’s too bad, how can we help?” Every one of us seems to jump at the chance to do some good… I guess it’s a result of seeing Harrison Ford’s face of anguish when Indy heard the slave children in the Thuggie Mines over and over again.

No doubt, we’re all waiting for that one opportunity to get our gear on and swing into action. Many of you are like me who wear fedoras every day of the year with out a care in the world as far as what others think of us. As I said before, With out my hat I feel nude from the neck up.

Anyway… you all know I’m a republican and a constitutionalist. But I’m also an American and Christian first and foremost. I’m not going to begrudge a fellow American because his views don’t agree with mine.

And on that last statement, I think I conceptually agree with the natural distressing but it's just about impossible with the goat Expedition (jacket relating this post to this thread)--the thing is just about indestructible. I mean _ even washed his in detergent and it came out better than before! Anyway, this thing keeps coming out smelling (literally, more like leather) and looking like a rose.

I'm not knocking it but it's something to consider if one wants it to look like it's gone through 20 years of adventures after---20 years of adventures. I think it'll end up looking like it just came out of the box.
