Well I received my jacket this afternoon three weeks after ordering it and was I excited.
Unfortunately I have to send it back. The quality appears good but it just doesn't fit. I'm a little surprised as I called and gave specific sizing information. It does look a little browner and lighter than the one Billiy3ci received. just wish i was slimmer and the jacket was a little darker and fatter.....
My Jacket:
The one Billy3ci received:

I think if he had used a brighter flash for his photos, they would have looked just like your jacket.

Maybe. Here it is with no flash:
does all predistressed start as brown or black? this looks like it started as brown.

Every pre-distressed I've ever owned started out brown.
You're right. It's a bit darker, but it's still not exactly the same as the other jacket, is it?

You know, I ordered a black XXL and had some problems. The jacket is tight on me when buttoned, but the Doctor wore it open anyway, I suppose. I ordered mine off the rack too, Once I lose my gut a bit it will fit better.
BTW, based on my experience English sizes are not cut for us portly Americans. I have a few XXL things from across the pond and they are tight in the same place: the gut.

Mine is tight not only in the gut, but across the shoulders and back as well. I 'm more of a 3XL when it comes to jackets and gave sizes I know should work. I think I got an off the shelf 2XL which generally doesn't work for me.
Again, and I can't say this often enough... the quality looks #1, it just won't fit.

This style seems to be cut a little tighter. I usually wear a small but the Medium is just right for me. Peter says he's looking into loosening up the fit in the chest.

My jacket size is a 40r and I was told that a medium would fit 40-42. My medium is definitely a snug fit on me, but not in a bad way, I don't think. On the snug side of fitting just right. I just wish my black was cut from the same pattern as the pre-distressed since I like some of the details better on the pre-distressed. Every pre-distressed I've seen seems identical, and every black I've seen seems identical, but the black and pre-distressed are definitely different from each other in some very small details.

Yes it will be a bit of a thing having to mail it back, but I went over the jacket and it looks great. the quality is good, It's just a sizing issue. I had my oldest son try it on and if it would fit him (he's much thinner than dad) I'd keep it and give it to him, it looks that good. I already received an email back from wested about returning the jacket and asking for measurements.
The only thing I have some concern is that they dont have a measurement form on their web site. If they had one standard measurement form online it might make things easier for them and the customer in the long run.
The disappointment continues....

I returned the jacket a few days after receiving it because it didn't fit. A few weeks later I sent Wested an email to confirm that they had received it. After not receiving a reply email I sent a follow up email asking again if it had been received. I did get a response to that email saying that they have received it. Here now around 5 weeks after Wested had received the jacket back, the funds have still not been credited back to my credit card. I called this morning to ask what was going on and was told the office staff would not be back in until Monday. I don't believe that I've been unreasonable in this matter, but am really disappointed in how I've been treated.

If you used your credit card call your CC and ask them for a credit since you have your paper work it was returned. I think you have given Wested enough time to do the right think...The only money you may loose is the return shipping.

it's way past the 30 days, as it took about 6 weeks just to receive the jacket to begin with.

I would still call if I were you.... It was past 30 days in my case also. The dispute went through, and I had the full amount back in the bank account within 24 hours...
I do hate when businesses are quick to take your money, and very slow to refund it...
When I ordered from Wested, the card was hit IMMEDIATELY! Aero Leather and G&B on the other hand, did not hit the card until the jackets were actually made and shipped...
THAT is the way to conduct business IMHO...

From what I've seen, Wested isn't too thrilled about responding to emails that don't involve making a profit.

I don't mean to bash Wested (heck, their two leather jackets in my possession are currently my favorite jackets!), but I am rather confused and upset about how they are handling customer service...
I ordered the new worn-look lamb recently, and was told by Gemma that she would email me a copy of the tracking info when it shipped last Monday. No such info was recieved, and emails requesting that information was never responded to...
I placed 2 new, unrelated orders early last week.
Midweek came, and still no confirmation, so I emailed Gemma again. The day after that I emailed Gemma AND Peter regarding the orders, and requesting shipping info for my previous jacket. Still no reply.
However, I discovered on Saturday that my credit card had been charged for the new orders. I emailed them again to request shipping confirmation and asking about the new orders. No response. In fact, the only response from Wested that I have was way back 2 weeks ago. Since then, nothing.
Now I really don't mean to be pushy with the emails, but given that I am ordering 3 jackets, you can see why I would be anxious. I'm really confused about this whole ordeal.
What confuses me further is that I ordered the jacket on April 14; an off-the-rack jacket. It took until last week to ship (well, I'm hoping it shipped), and many other folks who ordered later have already recieved theirs. Have I been blacklisted at Wested for whatever reason?
I really like Wested, but... aarrrgh!

When i ordered my jacket about 2 years ago i received no confirmation email. Then it just showed up one day.
Don't fret. If they've charged the accounts, that's a confirmation!

I suppose, but this complete removal of communication is just so frustrating, especially since I'll be out of town over Summer!

Well, the problem may be they could be involved in a production. It's been a while since we've experienced a blackout of information or lack of confirmations from Wested due to a production in process, but it does happen.

I hear "Les Miserables" has been in contact again.

Is it possible that, as they have a captive customer base (since thay are the original makers), they don't HAVE to care? If they didn't, a frustrated clientele could take their business elsewhere.

Not making any excuses for them at all.
Just offering an explaination based on past experiences with the company when they become involved in a movie production.

You are not seriously suggesting we send out a shirt with a broken button and put the that button in the bag. There is a spare on the shirt tail but I have sent you some anyway.
I would have put in an extra inside pocket but as it was NOT on your order you never had or was charged for it. I can send you a copy if you wish.
As for taking the Ccard at the time of order in the past we have taken special orders only to find that the card was refused or dodgy so now we wont start until we have the funds sorted.
Only last week we had a phone call from a man saying we had charged his c/card for a jacket only to find it was his son using his card without permission. Fortunatelly the jacket had not been despatched.
As for Aero etc I assume it is for stock jackets and I doubt they would make a special without at least a deposit.
As for refunds they have to be authorized by me as I am the only with access to the account for payment naturally.
Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter, my ccard has been charged for 2 of the 3 orders. One of those 2 orders was for a ROLA Authentic that I ordered way back on the 13th of April when Gemma was gone and you and I exchanged correspondence.
As it was an off-the-rack jacket, I am just confused that it still hasn't arrived, nor have I recieved any tracking details regarding said jacket. I've sent an email regarding this matter to wested's address... Hopefully this matter can be looked into?
*EDIT*
Just got word back from Wested, thanks!
Finally received refund!
