Pleats and X-box Stitching?

Post by Castor Dioscuri »

Hi there,

I finally decided to order a LC Lambskin, and just submitted my order. However, I am wondering if anyone here recommends requesting pleats and X-box stitching?

I'm personally going for screen accuracy as well as functionality (both if possible), so would anyone recommend getting pleats done on a Last Crusade jacket? I can't seem to find any screen grabs that support or refute this...

And just what IS this x-box stitching I've read so much about? Everyone seems to be talking about it, but I can't figure out what it is. And as above, is it more of a screen-accurate thing, or a functional thing?

Pleats? you mean the action pleats? Those are std. The x-box stitching is a reinforcement done to the side straps where they attach to the jacket. The box stitch is std, and they put in an X in there for added strength.

Yeah. There's some stitching on the side straps that is sewn into a box shape that fastens the straps to the front and back of the jacket. Putting an x through there is x box stitching. As opposed to, you know, Playstation 2 stitching.

LC jacket strap w/ no x-box stitching.

I'd make your pleat depth about 1 1/2". Just my opinion.
