Young Indiana Jones' Leather Jacket?

Anyone have any information regarding the jacket worn by Young Indy? I'm going to assume that it is not a Wested...

I didn't even know young Indy wore a leather jacket. I know Phoenix just wore the Boy Scout duds in LC, and having seen most of the YIJC vhs tapes again late last year, I can't recall ever seeing SPF wearing a leather jacket either...only that AWFUL hat...

Is there a specific episode you're talking about or picture somewhere of the jacket in question? I'm really curious about this now!

actually if i remember right he wore several different leather jackets through out the series. most of them were uniform jackets from the time if i remember right. i know there was one in "attack of the hawkmen" the episode where he was flying with the american and french pilots.

actually just watched "fly boys" on dvd last night and it made me want to watch that episode again. great lookin jackets in that movie.

Ah, yes! I should have remembered that he sported a leather jacket or coat somewhere along the line, but I just couldn't picture it, since I didn't think he ever really wore anything like a traditional "Indy style" leather jacket.

That's why I'm curious about the jacket CD is referring to here, is it the jacket from "Hawkmen", or another jacket from another episode??? :-k

Sorry for being vague there... I'm not too sure which jacket it is, but I'm guessing it was the Hawkmen episode which I'm thinking of, as I just remember seeing alot of publicity photos of YIJ in a jacket (back in the day) which I assumed to be the 'trademark' jacket.

hopefully i'll get my dvds back from my friend soon and i'll try and get some screen caps. i think he wore a leather jacket earlier in the series when he was a motorcycle messenger.

Yes, rebelgtp. Young Indy wore a really nice double breasted leather coat as a motorcycle messanger. I drool over that thing every time I watch those episodes!

Yes, the coats he wears as both a motorcycle courier and aerial photographer are both gorgeous! Though, in my mind, his trademark outfit is the single-breasted navy jacket with dark brownish-grey trousers and the tan waistcoat he wear in the Mexico/Ireland/England episodes. For some reason, that outfit always stuck in my mind.

Kind regards,
Indy

yeah i'll be taking some screen grabs of that one shortly to see if it is the same jacket. if i find any other interesting leather jackets that he wore in the series i'll grab those as well (think i'm going to rewatch the entire series).

From the back it looks a bit like the Gestapo coat. But that´s only the cut of the shoulder parts, that reminds me to that
Nice pics

It´s a typical WWI double breasted aviator´s coat. Today often called "Barnstormer". Eastman, Aero ect. are offering similar coats.

Aero's version is the closest I've found, and I've been looking for a few years. Very friendly people, too. The only reason I don't have one is because I bought my Wested around the time that I found theirs.

I'd love to do this style of jacket. If anyone is keen, drop me a line and we can discuss the details!

I was actually thinking about getting one in Dark Brown. Is that possible?
