Who know what the true length as well as where this measurement is taken from for a 42" Chest XLT LC jacket? Mine is supposed to be a XLT, but the tag says XL. I am considering ordering another, but need to confirm length. My current seems ok on length, but I think that it should be a bit longer. I posted photos a few weeks back, so will not add more. Thanks.

Hi Cowboy,
I'm not sure what the XLT means. Extra Large Tall? A 42 would normally be a M. So yours would be a ML (Medium Long?).
Like it says on their website, those measurements are just a guide.
If you feel your jacket is a little short why don't you give them the back measurement you want and be done with it? Wested don't charge extra for sizing. The back measurement is taken from the bottom of the collar/nape of the neck, when wearing it, to where you want the jacket to fall to. You should get someone to take the measurement for you because, like armlength, it's hard to get it accurate yourself.

Say what!!!
I'm also totally confused by this post?
You go on to say that your "current seems ok on length but it should be a bit longer." You mean the sleeves and not the body?

Sorry Boys. I was not sharp enough to state that I ordered a 42" Chest size, and XLT (extra large TALL) since I am 6-2". The current jacket will work, but It seems like it could be a bit longer (looking at how it fits on screen) and as such want to confirm how long the length should be prior to ordering a new one. By the way WESTED ROCKS!

Well, just to be clear on things....after seeing the photos of your jacket, you currently have a true jacket. If you get much longer, you're going to have a car coat length. Is that what you're after?
I'm a hair shy of 6'2" myself, and have NEVER ordered an XLT in ANYTHING besides a car coat when ordering a jacket. Jackets are supposed to be shorter...just below the belt line.
