Here's my new vintage fedora I 'stole' from ebay:

After some time I really missed an Indy-fedora (or at least a center dent one) in my collection, so I had big luck to find this beauty.

WOW! That's a beauty. My guess would be 30's? No reed. Should make a fantastic Indy hat!

Except for the bound brim, I like it as an Indy!

@3thoubucks: Your guess is, right it's from the 1930s.

@Strider: I actually bought it because it has this brim! It's not really bound brim, it's a rather bad try of replicating a 'Cavanagh edge'-brim which was very common in the 30s. The brim on this fedora is, different to the original, sewn on. This hat may not be accurate, but you don't see vintage hats in this colour combination, like on Indy's, often.

Anyway, thanks for your replies!

Henrik

Indy or not, any vintage hat is a good hat. Good job Henry.

Good catch, Henry, and you're right, the edge on your new hat is one of the most sought after by the fedora collecting crowd. WELL done.
