I did it!!

I have been admiring (and coveting) all of your Adventurebilts since the first day I saw one. So I scrimped and saved, and submitted my order today to Steve.

I had thought about the Deluxe, but decided to start with the Standard for now, then maybe consider the Deluxe in the future.

I know it makes me sound cheap (which I probably am), but I wanted to order one before the price increase went into effect, and Steve did state he would honor the old price until the website was changed. So I jumped on it.
So now I wait.

Has it been 6 months yet?

No? Only 6 minutes? Boy, this could get tough.

At least I know I will have it in time for Halloween.

Maybe I'll post some pics of my current c-crown, so you can all laugh at me.

Well Indiana, all I can say is, that no matter how long you have to wait for it, you will not regret it. I have had my AB for a few months now, and it just fits and looks better all the time. I simply love it, and am so glad I took the plunge and spent the money. It is worth every copper penny I scraped up to get it.

I too am a proud owner of a Raiders AB, and I also just ordered another AB with a TOD pinch before the price increase goes into effect. So that should give you an idea of the quality of the hats in general, and the esteem this community holds for them.

IMHO if Fedora was hoping to dissuade people from buying his hats ( to cut down on the wait time and give himself some breathing room) with a paltry $25 bump, he's in for a rude surprise!

That's interesting, because I've been thinking, after I collected a few other gear necessities, I'd buy a second hat, with a TOD bridge scene pinch, but that's a ways off.
I still have to buy a Wested and a shirt (probably Magnoli's).

Johnson,
The wait will be agonizing, but the pay-off... You won't be sorry!

Indiana Johnson, I must honestly say I DO consider Steve's AB as the best fedora available now. I respect Marc's work a lot (great, fantastic materials, hard work, etc.), but I've seen some pics of both hats and just personally, I have never even considered buying Deluxe. Believe it or not, I was visiting the web site ( adventurebilt.com ) and didn't even look at the Deluxe's price! There are some topics regarding it at COW and I must have read about it, but I don't remember if it's 200 or 300 Euro - I'll surely check it out of curiosity after sending this post. The price doesn't matter. I assure you, there are a lot of guys who'd confirm it. When you can afford buying +$250 hat, you usually can afford buying more expensive one. I was choosing only between AB and HerbertJ (for the "label"). Deluxe is made of the best materials available, but regular AB is THE ultimate Raiders fedora in my opinion.

Cheers,
