Looking for the dead center pleat

My video hat has about a 2 inch turn. This assumes there was a pleat in the exact front of the crown, (In order to tighten the fit?) that is hidden by the ribbon, but becomes the obvious channel under the ribbon when the hat is turned. I looked for evidence and found something in this unturned pre-production shot. It's like a little upside down "T" between the pins I taped to the screen. It's a little off center, but so is the front of the brim. I think it could be the pleat. It's a bit lower than half way up the ribbon, where I have detemined it should be and where mine is. Image If anyone has a clearer shot, or another unturned hat shot, with the same feature, which could be from the Bantu Wind dock, or parts of the early Peruvian Cave interiors, I'd like to see it it? ........... If this isn't a special pleat, but only a ribbon atatchment stitch, it so huge and obvious, it probably could form a pleat?

Does this mean that your search, in fact, is NOT complete? Should we remove that fork?

It's not so much a search as a "quest."

3thoubucks's a nut on the subject. Crazy. He's obsessed with the occult.

Agreed. That's why I pretty much ignore the 'I'm done with my search' posts.

No, you can leave the fork in. I'm saying this is an unturned hat with a possible pleat in front. That's how my hat is done. A pleat at the very front, then the hat is turned untill you get the Raiders Channel under the Ribbon in the front bash over Ford's right eye. -------- If you stand back a bit, you can see the effect it has on the surrounding felt. Image Image It's not a turned hat judgeing from the non warped brim and bow position. Image After the turn, the stitch/pleat, ends up here- Image The ribbon would have had to be taken off and repositioned after that big a turn.
