New JP Designs Indy arrived today

Post by kobol »

Good Day,
Christmas came early for me in that I just received my new Indy hat from Jimmy Pierce. As soon as I can get some pics I will post them. But I will have to say that the color, look & feel are great. Not too mention that the hat fits like a glove with no assistance from anything in the sweatband. Overall I am very pleased. For the specs it has the standard Indy brim dimemsions with a 5 1/2in crown which suits my face better than something taller.
Like I said earlier I couldn't be more pleased and with hats like these I can see more custom hat purchases in the future.

Thanks. :D

Glad to hear you are pleased with the JPD fedora. I can't wait to see some of your pics. After the positive reviews I've read of JP's hats, I decided today to go ahead and order one (Mr. Pierce, if you read this, there's a fresh PM in your inbox!)

Well I am at work right now and it just so happens that our firm's digital camera is out right now. But as soon as I get home tonight I will try and get some pics posted.
My other hats are a Stetson Chatham and a Baily Adventurerer. But I can see now that those two will be going on vacation soon.

NOTHING beats a custom hat! I have one (not an AB or JP), and it's the most comfortable, cherished hat in my collection. Enjoy, and can't wait to see the pictures!

What a great looking hat! I can't (hardly) wait till mine gets here. Did yours come bashed or did you do the job yourself?

The hat came already bashed. I could have ordered an open crown but from seeing other pics of JP's work, I thought I would let him do it. I must say that his turn around time was quick, only 1 week from the day I ordered it until the day it arrived.

The webcam definitely has a problem picking up the color. The hat has a real nice dark brown to it. I gave the front of the brim a gentle downward slope. Unfortunately my digital camera is out and the webcam just can't pick up those details and do it justice. The hat is much nicer than I can show.
But I can see that now I may be getting addicted. I am already starting to look forward to collecting more hats.
