That's how I wish my Wested pocket flap was.

If Peter can confirm that he can do it like this, I will order a jacket NOW. I'm serious.

Wested can do this. Just ask.

Let me guess: It´s a pocket of an Aero 40-3785-P A-2, seal/ smooth horsehide, right? :D

The Aero 40-3785-P A-2 has just one of the most pointed pocket flaps. Easy to recognise. Looking exactly like mine. That´s all.

He's just one of those real experts if it comes to vintage flight jackets! :D

I have to correct my guess. I believe it´s a Real McCoy´s Rough Wear Clothing Co. 1943 Pattern. Real magic! 8-[

Okay, okay. I just saved the pic and the file´s name is "RMJrw_pock1". This could mean Real McCoy´s J Rough Wear.  No magic at all.

Man...you got me going on this one! I sat here -- in front of the screen staring at the pic and got out a couple of my Wested's! You have a great idea here...that is one perfect flap.

Problem, I have is my jackets are all starting to 'age' nicely, so a re-mount of flaps is out of the question -- but boy do I wish I had thought of this one a long time ago. I am certain Peter could give this option to you! I would suggest you not only send him a copy of the pic, but talk to either him of Gemma about it. All regards: W>

I think this is THE screen accurate Raiders flap.
There are screen caps to justify what I am saying.

I sent a similar photo to Wested for my last order but the flap I got was not even close.

So, as I said, if Peter can confirm he can do it, I am ordering a jacket now.

I believe this is somewhat overexaggerated, much like when we were asking for too tall crowns on our hats. I call it the "Elvis Collar" effect.

BUT if you want one like this talk personally to Peter make yourself a lifesize cardboard template of the pocket and flap and mail it to them. It really shouldn't be a problem for them to duplicate. Like the A1 they did a little while ago, it was exactly like the drawing supplied.

I dunno, I perfer the flaps on my Wested.

I'm not really a fan of the pointy look of them. Even if they may be more screen accurate.

When I thought of the jacket, before I really did any research, several things did stick out to me. Pointy flaps was not one of them...
