Wear of the cotton lining

I was a bit disappointed to find a hole forming in the lining of my TOD HH. I wear a phone on my belt and right where the antenna sits it rubbed a hole right through the cotton lining. The jacket is about 1.5 years old. I realized too late about that area (my fault anyways), but I also noticed a few thinning areas at the corners of the lining of the lower back panel. I hadn't really paid attention to how thin the lining is, but I had hoped it would last longer than this. I'll do my own patch jobs for awhile until it gets bad, and then I may send it back to wested and request something a bit more robust, even if I have to buy the material and give it to them.

Anyone else have any issues like this?

On my first Wested, the satin lining at the end of the sleeves started to fray. I just figured that I would take it to a tailor at some point, but ended up selling it before I did.

I don't think it's worth paying the shipping. I think you could take it to any taylor and should be able to help replacing the lining.

My cotton lining has been torn up on some places too. I will replace it one day with maybe something stronger. But hey, don't worry about it. It happens.

I have a wested with cotton body and satin sleeves. No problems with the cotton yet, but the elbows on both sleeves have worn holes in them. I just used iron on patches, no problems since. The material is thicker than the satin. All I had on hand was khaki colored, but I didnt care knowone sees inside the sleeves anyway. When it comes time for the cotton body I plan on doing the same thing, except with a closer color. :ducttape: emt
