distressing your indy bag

I have seen several comments on the metal hardware on the gas mask bag. Most that its to bright. I used birchwood casey instant gun blue to age the metal disk, strap rings, air vents, and snaps on my todd bag, u just apply it with q-tip. The cool thing is, if you feel you have over done it, you can strip it with the instant blue remover. Note this will work on the silver metal parts, I dont know what it (stripper) will do to the brass finnish. this also works on brass slidders for your jacket, when I replaced the D-rings on mine all I could find was brass ones, for this I just dropped the slidders into the blueing, the longer they sit the deeper they blue. You can find this stuff @ wal-mart and most gun shops. Just a little bit @ a time should do the trick. IMO it looks better than sanding, and less dammaging to the metal. Hope this helps, emt :lol:P.S. when u apply it with a q-tip wipe off quickly with apaper towel, this way u can control how much blueing takes to metal.
