BRIM WIDTH...final answer?

We have all seen the threads lately with pics posted by Fedora of the surveyor's findings on the size and dimensions of the Raiders hat. My question is, does anything like this exist for the size of the brim? The old Swales specs (2 3/4 inches front & back, 2 1/2 inches on the sides, c'mon, who doesn't know that one by now?) never seemed right for the Raiders hat in my eyes. Those brim specs seemed better suited to the hats in the two subsequent films. Does anyone have any idea as to the final verdict on this, if there is one? AB's seem to be a good reference point for questions on the Raiders hat as well, based on the amount fo research Steve and Marc put into their products. Does anyone know what the standard brim specs are in the Ford size range (7 1/8, 7 1/4, 7 3/8 ) for a stock AB?
I know brim width is one aspect of a fedora that is dependent not only on hat size, but on personal preference as well as what looks right with a person's head and face shape. So with that in mind, is there a "range" of certain brim sizes that work best for the low to mid 7 size ranges?
Also, does anyone know if the ratio of the dimensional cut on the Raiders hat was the same as it was in the other film hats (difference of a 1/4 inch, according to Swales specs.)
